The Journey — Somatic-Relational Medicine in Psychedelic-Assisted Work
Each journey is an invitation to come home to yourself
At A Sacred Awakening, the “journey” is more than a session — it is an embodied pilgrimage home to your deeper wisdom. My approach combines somatic-relational medicine with psychedelic-assisted therapy to help you connect, integrate, and transform in a grounded, present way.
What the Journey Invites
A slowing down and deep listening.
Embodiment of felt experience — not escaping the body, but inhabiting it more fully.
Recognition of the relational field — between you, the medicine, and the practitioner — as a healing container.
Emergence of insight, imagery, somatic release, and relational resonance.
What You May Experience
Each journey unfolds in its own tempo. What follows is a guide — not a guarantee — of what may arise:
Sensations and movement in the body: pulses, warmth, tremors, lightness, heaviness, waves.
Emotional opening: sadness, grief, joy, laughter, relief, or tenderness.
Imagery, inner landscapes, symbolic visions, metaphors.
Memory, insight, parts of the self speaking with fresh clarity.
Moments of soft silence, deep spaciousness, or subtle shift.
Through it all, your nervous system is being invited toward coherence, regulation, and integration.
The Role of the Facilitator
As your guide, I hold a relational, trauma-informed presence. I offer attuned support — not control — helping you stay within your window of regulation. My role includes:
Co-regulating presence (breathing, pacing, attunement)
Gentle navigation or prompting when parts get stuck or dysregulated
Using somatic tools (movement, breathing, vocalization, touch only with consent)
Inviting relational reframing, witnessing, and empathic holding
Offering grounding and integration anchors during and after the session
